Maestro Diogenes (PENA METSA) and his wife maestra Anita (CHANON BEKA) decided after many years of work in different temples in Peru to develop their own center near their community santa rosa de denamarca They have paved their way through the jungle and created a unique center in the middle of their familiar jungle

Maestra Anita, comes from a shamanic lineage and started working with plants at the age of 13, although her formal training as a maestra began later in life together with her husband maestro Diogenes. Maestro Diogenes came to plant medicines as a maestro after a son of Diogenes end Anita became ill and was cured by a local maestro. Since then, he devoted his life to healing end the plant medicines/masters of the jungle Maestro Diogenes is a well-respected maestro, not only in his village but also in the plant medicine community, having worked with people from all over the world for over 30 years. He has a profound love of music and uses his musical abilities to heal and guide in ceremonies His eagerness and enthusiasm to share and heal, along with his caring nature, make him an involved curandero and teacher Maestra Anita is a gentle and kind matriarch, and her nurturing spirit is an integral part of her healing approach Like her husband, she is a well-respected maestra in the local village, as well as the global plant medicine community.

They realize their dream of there own centre little by little through hard work and reliance In 2012 the Santurario opened its doors, end over the years the santuario has grown into an adult center, where the maestro and the maestra recieve together with their family guests from all over the world The maestro end maestra would like to ,share, pass on, and retain there knowledge end culture, and the santuario is the place where they want to ensure that

They work together with their two sons (maestros) on the santuario and with carefully selected maestros/maestras from the jungle

The Santuario is located in the Peruvian Amazon along the Ucayali river, 3 hours by boat from the city of Pucallpa, and a 30 minute walk from the Shipibo village of Santa Rosa de Dinamarca.

The santuario is spacious, and is located near a lake where the sun disappears in the evening, and where the jungle animals give concerts in the night, it has 14 tambos, a maloka (ceremony space) and a dining room The tambos are carefully and with a sense of privacy spread over the santuario, and each tambo has a private eco toilet A number of tambos are located more deeply in the jungle and others are more close to the openness of the lake

   

The Santuario is an authentic experience of jungle life. You have the opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and modern conveniences, end to find a deep connection with the jungle plants, but also to nature end your own nature

Santuario de la Dieta Shipibo es un centro indígena para el estudio de las plantas medicinales y enseñanza de la tradición Shipibo-Conibo. Trabajando directamente con una familia de Shipibo Onaya (maestros / curanderos), el Santuario es un lugar donde uno puede conectar más profundamente con sagradas plantas Amazónicas a través de Sama tradicional (Dieta).

El Santuario se encuentra en las Amazonas Peruanas a lo largo del río Ucayali, 6 horas en bote desde la ciudad de Pucallpa, y 30 minutos a pie desde el pueblo Shipibo de Santa Rosa de Dinamarca.

El Santuario es para aquellos que no sólo buscan una conexión más profunda con plantas de la selva, sino también a la naturaleza. Tenga en cuenta que en la elección de venir al Santuario, que estas consciente ecoger de estar inmerso en la vida de la selva. Si bien hay muchos otros centros de retiro que ofrecen más de las comodidades modernas, el Santuario es una auténtica experiencia de vida en la selva. Usted tiene la oportunidad de desconectar completamente y experimentar la selva, sin electricidad ni agua corriente. Esto significa que:

  • No hay Internet
  • Velas en la oscuridad
  • Baño (con un envase) y letrina al aire libre
  • Zancudos, cucarachas y otros insectos de selva

Vivir en la selva puede ser intenso, pero es una parte muy importante de la experiencia en el Santuario. Sin embargo, es importante evaluar antes de reservar si esto es algo para usted.

Servicios:

  • Carga – Si usted trae algo que requiere la carga, alguien puede traerlo al pueblo para recargar por un suplemento.
  • Teléfono – Hay un teléfono en el pueblo.
  • Servicio de lavandería – Un miembro de la familia García lavará su ropa y sus sábanas cuando sea necesario.
